Privacy policy

DesignMyRegistry helps people make registry pages for baby showers, weddings, graduations, birthdays and housewarmings. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We don't sell personal information.

What we collect

• Hosts: your email address and sign in details, your registry (title, date, items, notes, photos and designs), your shipping address, and the cash fund or college fund details you add.
• Guests: when you reserve a gift or send a fund gift, your name, your email address and any message you write, so the host knows who it's from and so we can email you the details.
• Waitlist: your email address and, if you tell us, what you're celebrating.
• Usage: which pages are viewed and basic device information, to see what works and fix what doesn't. When a guest taps a store link, we count the tap without recording who made it.

Shipping addresses

A host's shipping address is shown to a guest only after that guest reserves a gift. We delete shipping addresses 30 days after the event date.

Money

Gift money never passes through DesignMyRegistry. Cash funds link to the host's Venmo, PayPal or Zelle, and college funds link to the host's own college savings gift page. Hosts who buy a paid plan pay through Stripe; we never see or store card numbers.

Who helps us run the service

We share only what each one needs to do its job:

• Supabase (database, sign in and photo storage) and Vercel (hosting).
• Resend (our emails), Cloudflare (security checks that keep bots out) and Stripe (payments).
• Anthropic, OpenAI and Recraft (the AI designer and custom art). They receive what a host asks the designer for and any photos the host attaches.
• PostHog (usage analytics) and Sentry (error reports).
• Stores and affiliate networks, when a guest follows a store link. See our affiliate disclosure.

Cookies

We use a cookie to keep hosts signed in, and our analytics uses cookies or similar storage to count visits. We don't use advertising cookies.

How long we keep things

• Registries stay until the host deletes them or asks us to.
• Shipping addresses are deleted 30 days after the event.
• Unbought reservations are released when their hold ends.
• Waitlist emails are kept until we open, or until you ask us to remove yours.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to be removed from the waitlist. Email admin@designmyregistry.com and we'll reply within 30 days.

Children

DesignMyRegistry is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and email hosts about anything important.
